Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

AfterChurch is operated by TAGDEV TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, a company registered in Nigeria (“AfterChurch”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AfterChurch website, web app, and iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use AfterChurch. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

• You sign in with a verification code we email you, or with your Google account.
• Keep access to your email and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Please give accurate information, and don't create accounts to get around limits, such as creating a new account to claim another free trial.
• Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.

4. The Service

AfterChurch helps you study sermons. You provide notes, photos of slides or handwriting, and scripture references. The Service uses AI to generate a written study with optional audio, a 7-day devotional plan, prayer points and a memory verse. The Service also includes:

• reminders, a personal prayer list, evening reflections and memory-verse review
• study groups

We continually improve the Service, and we may add, change or remove features. If we remove a core paid feature, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put into AfterChurch and the studies generated for you (“Your Content”). You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, store and display Your Content. We use this licence only to provide the Service to you and to the people you choose to share with. For example, we use it to read text from your images, generate your study and audio, and show a shared study to your group.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for the limited cases described in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you provide. For example, only photograph sermon slides for your own personal study, and don't upload material you have no right to share.

6. Study groups

Groups let a small circle read a study together, share prayer requests and discuss what they read.

• Joininga group is free on every plan. You join with an invite code from the group's leader.
• Hosting (creating and leading) a group requires an active Plussubscription. If your Plus subscription ends, you won't be able to create new groups. Groups you already lead remain available to their members.
• What members see:anything you share into a group is visible to all of its members. This includes studies, prayer requests, comments, your name, and your progress on the group's current plan. Members can't see anything you haven't shared.
• Leaders are responsible for who they invite. They can rename or close the group, reset the invite code, remove members and delete comments. Leaders should moderate kindly and fairly.
• Other people's information: prayer requests often involve other people. Only share details, especially about health or personal struggles, that the person would be comfortable with the group knowing.
• Be kind. Treat group members with respect. We may remove content or accounts that harass, shame or exploit others.

7. Sharing links

On plans that include sharing, you can create a public, read-only link to a study. Anyone who has the link can view that study. You can turn a link off at any time, and you are responsible for where you post it.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload or share anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights
• use the Service to spam, scam, or impersonate anyone
• try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass its security, usage limits or free-trial rules
• access other users' data without permission, or scrape the Service
• resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the Service or its output without our written permission
• use the Service to build a competing product, or to train AI models

9. Scripture and AI-generated content

Scripture quotations come from public-domain translations: the King James Version and the World English Bible. We are not the publisher of these texts.

Studies, devotionals, prayer points and audio are generated by AI to support your personal study. They may contain mistakes, and they are provided “as is”. They are not a substitute for reading scripture yourself, or for pastoral, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Always check important points against the Bible and seek qualified help where needed.

10. Plans, billing and free trial

10.1 Free trial

New users can create one free studywithout a payment card. The free trial is limited to one per person. To keep it fair, we may withhold it when we detect duplicate or disposable accounts or unusual activity. Any withheld trial doesn't affect your ability to create an account or subscribe.

10.2 Paid plans

We offer the Starter, Pro and Plus plans, billed monthly or yearly. Each plan has a weekly generation limit and its own features, as shown on our pricing page.

• Weekly limits reset every Monday at 00:00 in your timezone. Unused generations do not roll over.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.

10.3 Where you pay

• On the web, we currently offer the free trial only. To subscribe, download the AfterChurch app. If we offer web checkout in future, payments will be processed by Stripe in US dollars (USD). Prices shown on our website in another currency, such as Nigerian naira (₦), are for reference only.
• In our mobile apps, purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They are billed in the currency the store shows you and are subject to that store's terms.

Applicable taxes are calculated and collected at checkout where required.

10.4 Changing or cancelling your plan

• Upgrades take effect immediately, and web upgrades are prorated.
• Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
• If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Cancel web subscriptions in Settings. Cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions in your device's subscription settings.

10.5 Refunds

• Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Web payments are generally non-refundable for partly used periods, except where the law requires otherwise. If something has gone wrong, such as a double charge or a study that failed to generate, contact us at [email protected]and we'll make it right.

10.6 Price changes

We may change our prices. Any change will apply from your next renewal after we've given you reasonable advance notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

11. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding and the AfterChurch name and logo, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal study, in line with these Terms. This licence doesn't cover Your Content, which stays yours.

12. Feedback

We welcome ideas and suggestions. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve AfterChurch without any obligation to you.

13. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, such as app stores, payment processors, sign-in providers and AI providers. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms. We aren't responsible for third-party services we don't control.

14. Suspension and termination

You can stop using AfterChurch at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account doesn't automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so please cancel it there too.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if your use puts other people or the Service at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund the unused portion of any web subscription.

15. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep AfterChurch accurate, available and secure. However, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted, error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• AfterChurch and its directors, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes loss of data, profits, goodwill or opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
• Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD 50.
• These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify AfterChurch against claims, losses and reasonable costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from Your Content or from your breach of these Terms. This applies to the extent the claim is caused by you, and to the extent permitted by law.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protections given by the mandatory laws of your country, and you may also bring proceedings there.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

20. General

• These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• If we don't enforce a right, that doesn't mean we have waived it.
• You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale of the business.
• Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service. They are, however, third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to our mobile apps.
